My How Time Flies!

I just looked at the date of the last entry and it’s been over three years!

Lots has happened as you can imagine.

First and foremost is our move in January of this year. In case you missed it, we now reside at 50 Cove St. in Portland’s Bayside neighborhood. It’s a beautiful light space and there is a parking lot!  We’ve got lots of wall space to show off the wonderful hand-dyed rovings and yarns that Casey and Dana create in our spacious dye kitchen. There is ample floor space for the burgeoning spinning group that meets on Thursday afternoons. We still have an issue with enough chairs so if you plan to join us you might want to throw one in the car just in case.

We’ve added some commercial knitting yarns to our mix.

We now stock 2 lines from the Fibre Company. Their newest line is called Acadia. With such a Maine name, how could we resist? Plus it’s an absolutely gorgeous yarn. We also added about a dozen colors of Terra, another delicious choice.

We’ve also added Brown Sheep to our mix. With Central Yarn on hiatus, we were getting calls. We’ve got Nature Spun Sport, Lamb’s Pride Worsted and Lambs Pride Bulky. We can also get any Brown Sheep yarns you want.

Perhaps our biggest addition is DHG rovings from Italy. Currently we’ve got approx. 70 colors of dyed superfine merino! 25 or so colors of dyed Tussah. As we place more orders, we’ll increase the number of colors and start to add their Cashmere colors as well. If you haven’t been in to see them, it’s worth a visit. They felt like butter! We are also the Eastern US reps for the company so we also do wholesale!
